Marianne Vos and Magnus Bak Klaris won the elite titles at the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup, Western Australia, on 10–11 October. The UCI’s official report confirms that this was the championship’s first edition outside Europe.
The women’s podium
Vos finished ahead of Germany’s Rosa Klöser, with the Netherlands’ Larissa Hartog taking bronze. According to the UCI, Vos became the first rider to win more than one elite Gravel Worlds title, adding to her 2024 victory.
The men’s podium
Denmark’s Bak Klaris won ahead of defending champion Florian Vermeersch of Belgium. Great Britain’s Connor Swift completed the podium. The official account describes a reduced group contesting the finish after the demanding dirt-road course.
More than the elite races
The event also awarded age-group titles, making the championships a meeting point for elite competition and qualified amateur riders. The UCI report provides the full age-group winners list.
The next step for interested riders
For riders considering organized gravel events, start with the organizer’s current entry requirements, route information and qualification rules. Watching the world championships is inspiration; it is not a reason to select a route or race beyond your preparation.
