Bosch Flow update: check the motor code before changing traction settings

What changed
Bosch’s current eBike Flow developer release notes describe four traction-control settings: off, low, medium and high. The setting sits under Custom riding modes > Advanced > Traction control. Bosch says it regulates motor torque to help prevent rear-wheel spin; this is a manufacturer claim, not an Elev8 riding-test finding.
Check the identifier
| Drive unit | Code listed for traction control and Drivetrain Tensioner |
|---|---|
| Performance Line CX-R | BDU386Y |
| Performance Line CX | BDU384Y |
| Cargo Line | BDU384Y |
A familiar motor name alone does not establish compatibility. The notes also allow the Drivetrain Tensioner to be switched per custom mode and say it is off by default.
Owner takeaway
Match your drive-unit code before looking for these settings. Confirm the installed bike software and available features in Flow or with your dealer. No Philippine rollout or model availability is established here.
Date check
The UK Apple listing showed version 1.38.2 with a relative “2 days ago” timestamp when checked on 15 October 2026. That is an app-release indicator, not proof of a universal bike-firmware rollout date.
