Nadine Aeberhard and Jesse Elzenga won the 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships in Mentougou, Beijing, on Friday 16 October. The UCI says the weather forecast prompted organisers to bring racing forward from Saturday 17 October. [1][2]
Two new champions
Switzerland’s Aeberhard beat defending champion Sabina Košárková in the women’s final, recording 29.593 seconds against 29.678. Latvia’s Vineta Pētersone took bronze. [1][2]
The Netherlands’ Elzenga improved on his 2025 bronze to win the men’s title in 27.368 seconds. Ilya Beskrovnyy, competing as an Individual Neutral Athlete, finished second in 27.696; Switzerland’s Tristan Borel won the small final for bronze. [1][2]
What the results mean
The championship brought 95 elite riders from 29 nations to a new 275-metre track west of Beijing. Timed qualification reduced the field to 16 women and 16 men for the knockout rounds. These are pump track results, separate from XCO, downhill and BMX Racing World Cup classifications. [1][3]
For readers following the earlier preview, 16 October is the actual race date; 17 October was the original plan. The organiser’s results page includes the finals replay and a link to full timing. [1][3]
