Beijing’s Mentougou district is preparing to host the Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships, with the organizer and the UCI’s 14 October explainer pointing to 17 October 2026 for the championship. This is a preview: no Beijing winners have been declared here.

### Dates to keep straight The UCI’s original announcement, published 5 February, gave a 16–17 October event window. Its competition hub still lists that window. The newer explainer and organizer homepage identify 17 October. Readers should use the organizer’s latest detailed timetable before making plans; the sources checked do not establish session start times or Philippine broadcast access.

### What decides a rainbow jersey? Pump track racing rewards the ability to turn rollers and banked turns into speed through body movement and precise handling. Timed qualification sets the order for elimination racing. The UCI says the first elimination round at the 2026 Worlds will be the top 16.

The two slower semi-finalists contest third place; the two fastest advance to the title final. Each finalist gets one run, with the quicker time deciding the winner.

### Why this edition matters China hosts these Worlds for the first time. The championship also returns to a standalone event after being part of the wider MTB Worlds in 2025.
