Jarno Widar won the Tour of Guangxi’s sixth and final stage at Nongla on 18 October, also securing the overall title in China, according to Lotto-Intermarché’s race report.

Uphill finish decides the race

The team describes a 166-kilometre stage from Yizhou, decided on the final climb. The victory gave the 20-year-old Belgian his first WorldTour-level win.

Another jersey for Lotto-Intermarché

Team-mate Baptiste Veistroffer won the mountains classification.

For readers following racing across Asia, Guangxi adds a Chinese road-racing result to a weekend that also included Japan’s Kumamoto MTB meeting and Japan Cup. Those separate events should be read through their own classifications.
