Colnago G5-X: bigger tire room and storage define the new gravel platform

Colnago’s G5-X product page presents a new carbon gravel platform with expanded tire clearance, internal frame storage and mounting options for longer rides. The details below come from the manufacturer’s current specification page, checked on 13 October 2026; they are not findings from an Elev8 ride test.

The practical features

Colnago lists a maximum nominal tire width of 53 mm with 6 mm clearance. The page also identifies internal down-tube storage and six mounting points: two standard bottle positions, one beneath the down tube, one on the top tube and two on the fork. These are manufacturer specifications, and compatibility still needs checking for the exact equipment being fitted.

Read the chosen build, not just the model name

The page offers SRAM RED, Force and Rival XPLR configurations. Their equipment differs, so a headline model specification should not be assumed to describe every complete bike. Identify the exact size and build before comparing components or requesting a quotation.

What Philippine buyers still need to establish

The international product page does not establish local availability, delivered cost or dealer stock. Ask an identifiable dealer for a current model-specific quotation, warranty information and service support. Do not convert a foreign list price into an advertised Philippine offer.

The useful buying question is whether the complete setup suits the rides you intend to do. Fit, support and the cost of ownership deserve attention alongside the feature list.
